چکیده

Manure application and crop rotation are common agricultural practices that can alter soil physical properties affect functions. In this study, we assessed the effect of long-term manure fertilization (24 to 126 years) type on hydraulic, aggregate pore structural properties. Samples were collected from three experiments (LTEs) in Sweden (silty clay, SiC), Germany (silt loam, SiL) Denmark (sandy SL). Measurements included water retention, air permeability gas diffusivity measured at five matric potentials −3, −5, −10, −30 −50 kPa, saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ksat), bulk density (ρb), water-stable aggregates (WSA). The treatments LTEs various rates sequences (winter wheat, maize, spring barley, grass/clover). Results showed addition reduced ρb by an average 3–6% for all sites, improved plant available WSA most investigated plots. However, increasing SiL SL sites did not result further improvements aggregates. size distribution, transport, Ksat varied with type. increased porosity pores < 30 µm two fine-textured > wheat maize plots site. transport decreased these barley regardless texture. site had well developed structure, while structure was relatively poor. Grass poorer than despite addition. study shows chemical arising largely depend crops grown

Long – Term Tillage and Manure Effect on Soil Physical and Chemical Properties and Carbon and Nitrogen Mineralization Potentials

The objective of this work was to study the effects of tillage and liquid manure applications on some physical and chemical properties as well as on the carbon and nitrogen mineralization potential of a meadow soil. Our results indicated that tillage and manure applications had no effect on the concentration of Cu, Mn, total N and organic C in 0-15 cm layer of soil after 15 years of treatment. ...

Soil Physical Properties and Crop Productivity of an Eroded Soil Amended with Cattle Manure

Erosion changes soil properties, especially physical properties, mainly because it removes surface soil rich in organic materials and exposes lower soil layers. In 1988, a study was established to determine the effects of soil erosion and long-term manure applications on selected soil phys ical properties and corn (Zea mays L.) production. After 10 years of an nual manure applications, soil c...

Crop management effect on chemical and biological properties of soil

This study was aimed at evaluating the effect of crop rotation and various tillage systems onthe chemical and biological properties of soil in the years 2013-2015. The first order factorincluded cropping systems: a) crop rotation (pea – winter wheat – spring wheat) and b)monoculture of winter wheat, whereas the second order factor were tillage systems:1) conventional (CT), 2) reduced (RT) and 3...
